The 15/50 superseded the 4/44 in 1956, the main difference being the larger B series engine. Similar to its sister MG badged Magnette Za and Zb and its big brother Wolseley 6/90 and Riley Pathfinder, all designed by Gerald Palmer who also designed the Jowett Javelin.

After a major restoration in the late 90ís, this particular car was cherished for several years, touring the UK including Wales but by 2015 had fallen into disrepair and was destined to be broken for spares when I rescued it in 2017.

Although the shell and floorpan were basically sound, many £££ís and hours work over 8 months included:

Respray - chrome - trim - engine overhauled - brakes replaced

Engine:
Head skimmed, valves lapped, reconditioned carburettor and distributor, radiator re-cored, stainless exhaust, new hoses, clips, gaskets etc.

Electrics:
Alternator conversion, trafficators refurbished, fuse boxes rewired, lighting replaced or refurbished, instrument panel refurbished, radio fitted.

Brakes:
Drums skimmed, new linings, master and wheel cylinders.

Interior:
Seats trimmed in hide leather, new door cards and interior trim, wood stripped and lacquered, new carpet set.

Other:
Five new radial tyres and rim embellishers fitted.
Boot refurbished with new panels.
